The FH400J is the company’s smallest HMC to date. Designed with a 15,000-rpm spindle, the machine is suited for high speed applications. The 2.4-second chip-to-chip time is said to improve production. A compact footprint makes the HMC ideal for job shops and companies with limited floor space, the company says.
Also featured, the FV1165 VMC is designed for long-term accuracy and durability in high speed and heavy-duty machining. According to the company, the machine’s Meehanite cast iron base and extra-wide, inverted Y-shaped column gives the casting greater tensile strength and maximum vibration damping capabilities. High torque and direct-drive spindle configurations are available in CAT 40 and CAT 50 tapers. The VMC also features a conversational control and an industry-standard Fanuc platform.
