Specifically designed to be less expensive, the pump remains functional. To achieve this, the company found ways to reduce the costs associated with the frame and several other non-critical areas. The pump is designed to continuously produce pressure of 52,000 psi, and its slow-stroking, high pressure plunger is useful in long production runs. Hydraulic power is used to slow plunger stroke rates and extend seal life at high pressures, the company says.
