Available from Raptor Workholding Products, the Mini Nest RWP-019-4X45T features a 45-degree pyramid base design to enable access to all machined areas of each workpiece. The Mini Nest creates a platform to attach multiple Raptor dovetail fixtures for five-axis machining of multiple parts in one load. Four RWP-019SS fixtures constructed of 17-4 stainless steel heat-treated to H-1150 are mounted to the base. Each fixture features a single, spring-loaded stainless steel clamp to securely hold the workpieces and has a 3/8" dovetail for milling applications. Each fixture can hold workpieces as large as 2.50 cu. in. and weighing as much as 2 lbs. The base is a RWP-216 tombstone made from 7075 aluminum and anodized class 2 type II. The modular configuration can be mounted to the top of the RWP-001, RWP-001SS, RWP-004, RWP-013 and RWP-013SS Raptor fixtures for quick change-out.
