Serving industries such as automotive, medical and electronics, the MaxBox from Electrox Inc. features a 600 mm × 600 mm footprint. It is offered in 10-W and 20-W versions and can operate accurately at ambient temperatures to 45 degrees Celsius. The system is also designed to be virtually unaffected by humidity, airborne contamination or vibration.

According the company, the marker’s fiber laser generates less wasted heat than other types of lasers. This means that the system can be entirely air-cooled. The laser connects to the scanning head, an arrangement that is conducive to preventing coupling loss or reduction in beam quality.
