Morris Group (Windsor, Connecticut) has announced its purchase of Hegman Machine Tool (Maple Grove, Minnesota), a distributor of manufacturing technologies lines including Okuma, Hardinge and Hydromat, among others. The new entity will be named Hegman Machinery, a Division of Morris Group. The acquisition has expanded Morris’ U.S. service and sales areas to include the states of Minnesota, North and South Dakota, and part of Wisconsin. Ralph Hegman, president of Hegman Machine Tool, will serve as an advisor of capital accounts to ease the transition.
