In a Webinar titled “AM Part Certification and a Skilled Workforce: Overcoming Obstacles to AM Success,” Chris Krampitz of UL’s Digital Manufacturing Technologies division will discuss a vital factor in succeeding with additive manufacturing—personnel with skills suited to AM.
In the Webinar, Mr. Krampitz will discuss the certification of additive parts, and the labor expertise necessary to manufacture additive parts to production quality standards. Beyond machine-specific knowledge, other vital factors include proficiency in design principles and optimization, the effect of processes and materials on part quality and safety, and applicable regulations and standards. The presentation will also address the labor market dynamics creating a skilled labor shortage and how to overcome them.
