DMG鈥檚 CTX beta TC and CTX gamma TC series turn/mill centers feature an integrated, moving column with a turning/milling spindle and an interpolating B axis. The machines are capable of turning workpieces ranging from 49.2" to 78.7" in length with diameters as large as 24.8", and bar capacity ranges to 3" in diameter. Both models feature an integrated disc magazine that can accommodate 24 tools on the CTX beta or 36 tools on the CTX gamma. An optional chain magazine that accommodates 120 tools is available for the gamma model.

The machines include a mobile column that is horizontally fitted on the Z axis to provide force induction. Wide linear guides in the linear axes are said to provide rigidity and stability. For precision, the machines feature linear scales in all slide axes as well as a thermo-symmetric design and active cooling of the main spindle, the optional coutnerspindle, motor consoles and the turning/milling spindle. 聽

The turning/milling spindle features an NC-controlled B-axis that can swivel to 卤100 degrees, enabling simultaneous five-axis milling. The main spindle can achieve rotational speeds of 12,000 rpm, while the optional counterspindle is capable of 18,000 rpm. The company鈥檚 Ergoline control unit features a 19" screen for enhanced reading comfort and a swivel mechanism that allows operators to adjust the screen and the operating panel. The large screen also accommodates the company鈥檚 customizable 鈥淪oftkeys鈥 to which users can assign operation sequences. The controls are available with either Siemens鈥 840D solutionline with ShopTurn or the Heidenhain鈥檚 Plus iT with DinPlus (and TurnPlus as an option).
